Princess Di Vibes

Outfit of the Day, StyleKristenComment

If you’re like me and have been spending an absurd amount of time on Instagram lately, you’ve most likely seen the myriad of posts about Princess Diana’s bike shorts and sweatshirt looks. Bike shorts have been becoming trendy for a while now, but I couldn’t find a pair I actually liked until recently. Now, I practically live in them.

So when my dad got me this sweatshirt, I knew I’d be wearing it with my bike shorts allllll the time. It’s been one of my favorite looks on cooler days (on hot days too. I’m literally always in sweatshirts).

This sweatshirt itself is an all-time favorite too. It’s ridiculously comfortable and pays homage to one of the greatest rock and roll venues ever. It’s also an awesome design. You all know how I feel about graphic tees, but I’ll make an exception for cool ones like this.

The moral of the story is, it’s super easy to look like Princess Diana, and it’s even more badass when you’re wearing a metal shirt.

All Hail the Pant Leg Man

shirt (obviously from the Pant Leg Man, but this one is very similar). shorts. sneakers. sunglasses.

I post about this shirt a lot, but I think it’s important that I give some context as to how it came into my life.

As you (hopefully) know by now, my parents and I are huge metal fans, especially my dad. About two years ago, we went to a Judas Priest concert at Nassau Coliseum. We were actually supposed to see them again at the Coliseum in September, but it got canceled. Not because of COVID, but because the venue is closing, which makes me super sad. I grew up going to concerts there.

But I digress. As we were leaving, there were the usual men standing outside selling Judas Priest tees, and my dad decided to buy me one. The man asked what size I wanted, and when I told him, he rolled up his pant legs, where various tees were hidden. He literally took it out of his pants. I bought a T-shirt from a man’s pants.

I think about that Pant Leg Man a lot. Without him, I wouldn’t have gotten one of my favorite shirts. One of my friends actually has a very similar shirt that he bought “officially,” and it’s fading and ripping. My shirt is doing just fine.

That just goes to show you, always believe in the Pant Leg Man.

happy new year!

Happy 2019, my loves! 2018 was the year of apologies, so instead of apologizing for being MIA again, I’m going to promise to post more this year! Now that I’m a college graduate (just typing those words made me shiver), I’ll be using the time that I would usually be spending on homework on the blog! Please hold me to that promise.

I hope everyone had an awesome New Year’s Eve! I spent mine with friends that I haven’t seen in a long time, which made me really happy. I’m usually not a big fan of New Year’s Eve, so it was really nice to start the new year off right!

I’m also a huge fan of my New Year’s Eve look! I wore this black crop top and little black skirt, neither of which I’ve worn in a long time. It was nice to take them out for a spin! At first, I wanted to go super glamorous, but I ended up keeping things pretty lowkey. I straightened my hair and kept my makeup pretty neutral, except for my lip color, which was a darker pink. I’ll be sharing a review of it soon, so stay tuned!

What was your favorite memory from 2018? Let me know in the comments!

back to black

Outfit of the Day, StyleKristenComment

top (by Nothing Sacred). bralette. shorts. sneakers. perfume. sunglasses (mine are lighter).

Happy Tuesday, angels! I hope your weekend was fantastic. I just got back to Boston for my last Orientation! I can’t believe how fast my time at Emerson has gone. I feel so old. I’m excited to start getting back into the swing of this school year. I miss being busy and seeing all the people I love!

This look is another simple one featuring a top I don’t wear enough! I got it from my cousins, and it looks so great with my bralette. It’s another top that I can wear differently depending on how I drape it. It’s made of pretty thin material, so this is a great top for these hotter days.

I wore my black shorts and black Converse, and let my hair down. I also wore Killer Queen, one of my favorite fragrances from Katy Perry, and my wood sunglasses.

How did you spend your weekend? Let me know in the comments!

lit lit lit

bodysuit (no clue, so sorry!!!). shorts (no longer being sold by Urban Outfitters). sneakers. perfume. lipstick (in Sanctuary).

Happy Thursday, my loves! I hope your week is going well. If not, I’m sorry, and I hope things get better soon. This look is as carefree and lit as I hope you get this weekend! I wore this look to a party we had at our apartment recently. It was the day I got my septum re-pierced, so I wanted to look badass and cool.

I’ve been in love with this bodysuit ever since my cousin gave it to me. It’s so comfortable, especially to go out in. The mesh makes it a little edgy, but the rest of the bodysuit is so simple that it’s the perfect amount of ~scandal~. I also wore these shorts that I obsessed over last week. The cut works perfectly. I love wearing higher waist cuts with bodysuits like this because it really accents my figure. I topped off the look with my black Converse.

I also wore!!! makeup!!! I went kinda dark because why the heck not?! This Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick will always have my heart tbh. I left my hair pretty normal; since I left my hair in a messy bun for most of the day I got a cute lil curl :’)

What are your exciting weekend plans?! Let me know in the comments!
