Dear Reader, it’s been a while! Alas, I’ll spare you the details: work, tired, no time. Great, we’re all caught up!

In the midst of this work, tired, no time cycle, I’ve somehow managed to become reacquainted with a single creative bone in my body for one whole day! Of course, I had to take advantage. What you see here is the result of a lot of time and even more glitter. Introducing, Cupid!

I’ve been quite open about my distaste for certain holidays before, but Valentine’s Day is not one of them! I freakin’ love Valentine’s Day. My parents always went out of their way to make sure I knew that Valentine’s Day wasn’t just about romantic love, but family love, friend love, self love, pet love, and love in general. Since I’m everyone’s token optimist, I’m pretty much legally mandated to celebrate this holiday to the fullest.
But I realized that I’ve actually never done a Valentine’s Day look! And people in the makeup community (am I a part of the makeup community?) often overlook everyone’s favorite loverboy.

So I had a good think about Cupid. I usually view him as sassy, clever, and mischievous. Does glitter fit into that anywhere? Yes. All of it.

And so the next several hours were full of making Tik Toks and trying not to pop out of this costume that was entirely too tight on me (thanks quarantine!). And I gotta say, I’m pretty damn proud! What do you guys think?

Happy August, my lovelies! I’ll spare you my surprise about how slowly yet quickly July went by. Time is irrelevant in the age of Coronavirus.

When I posted this look to my Instagram, I referred to it as “chill-but-not-chill.” It consists of joggers, a shirt, and sneakers. Sounds pretty chill and casual, right? But I elevated things with my makeup and the fact that I wore a snakeskin shirt. I don’t necessarily categorize snakeskin as casual. In my eyes, it’s pretty badass. Not saying that you can’t be both casual and badass, but you know what I mean. At least I hope so.

Anyway, the inspiration from this outfit came from trying to decide what to wear to dinner at a fancy restaurant. I settled on “glam pajamas,” and thus this look was born. It quickly became one of my favorites.

The only downside is that these joggers are quite temperamental. I fell in love with them and used to wear them all the time until I shrunk them in the dryer. Sad. So I bought another pair and managed to shrink those, even though I air dried them.

So what I’m trying to say is, I love feeling comfortable while looking really cute, and if you know of any joggers that won’t shrink, please send them my way.

Happy Almost Halloween! Since I had so much fun creating my Teenage Frankenstein look, I decided to try the glam skeleton makeup I’ve been seeing all over my Pinterest feed. I’m SO proud of how it turned out! I looooove skeletons and skulls, so it was pretty cool to turn myself into one.

I would highly recommend trying this if you still don’t know what you’re doing for Halloween! It’s all about contouring and blending, two things I’m not necessarily good at but can get away with for a spooky look :) Here’s the tutorial I followed. I’m so happy with this, you guys have no idea.

Hello, my loves! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA lately. I got locked out of my website! But I’m back and it’s lit. I’m working on putting out an e-newsletter soon so I’ll actually be able to tell you things like that. Stay tuned! Also, please excuse that some of my photos recently have been crappy iPhone pictures, my camera has decided to betray me and I’m rather pissed. It’s going great over here guys.

Here’s one of my favorite looks of all time. You know how I always say when you look good you feel good? This is one of those outfits that makes me feel freakin’ awesome.

This is actually a shirt I got for my uncle a couple years ago, so I stole it back when he passed away and turned it into a dress! I think he’d be proud. It’s so comfortable and the perfect balance of glam and casual, especially when you style it the right way. I like to wear my black Timberlands, my thigh-high boots, or these heels with this dress.

Since I was going out when I wore this look, I wore some glam makeup with my favorite lipstick of all time (sidenote: I lost my lipstick at a different party and literally cried. I just got another one for my birthday and I feel complete again). I slicked my hair back into a high pony and was ready to take on whatever the night threw at me.

And it was actually a really fun night! My friend and I went to a party and didn’t know anyone, so we left and ran around our neighborhood for a little bit. I got Five Guys which makes me the happiest girl in the world.

What’s your favorite party look? Let me know in the comments!
