A couple months back, my friend and I went to one of the coolest bars in New York, if not the world: Duff’s of Brooklyn! For non-heavy metal fans, this place is essentially a shrine to the bands I grew up listening to. Records and posters cover the walls, ceiling, and even the floor. Seriously, there’s no space that isn’t covered by some form of metal memorabilia. Even the bathrooms are cool! My personal favorites were the zombie sitting amongst the crowd, and the “Devil’s Ukulele,” signed by some of the greatest men in heavy metal. I was full of Corona and awe.

So what do you wear to a metal bar? I chose my Judas Priest tour shirt (and prayed that the friend I was meeting wouldn’t wear the same one), my trusty leggings, and a pair of heels (but my white Converse looked cute too). I wore my darker lipstick to fit ~the vibe~, and my blue light glasses once I realized how many neon signs there were.

If you’re a metal fan, I highly recommend checking Duff’s out. And if you’re not, go anyway! Just don’t get scared of the zombie I made out with.

Happy Hump Day, my lovely readers! Here’s a look I’ve been holding onto for a while. Last semester, I went to a Met Gala pajama party. Yup, you read that right. The theme was essentially fancy loungewear. Since I was actually a huge fan of the look I went with, I wanted to share it with you all.

True to my style, I kept things pretty grungy. I got this slip to wear to my 20th birthday party, and wore my black tights because ya girl was freezing. My flannel kind of acted like a wrap. I loved the way it looked with the dress! I wore my black Timberlands and dark lipstick, then partied the night away.

I looooove theme parties! It’s so fun to get creative and go all out with your look. Obviously, I love to play dress-up. The birthday party that I wore this slip to originally was 1920s themed, and my apartment threw an awesome 1970s party last year. I showed up to a Paris-themed mixer dressed as a French fry to find that my Little had done the same! That’s some sorority magic in my opinion.

What’s the best theme party you’ve been to, and what did you wear? Let me know in the comments!

Happy hump day, cutie pies! What have you done with the first half of this week? I’ve watched a ton of reality TV and did so much laundry. I also blew a fuse in my kitchen. That was fun.

I got this sweater at dELiA*s a whiiiile back and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. It’s super comfortable and really, really heavy, which is perfect for the colder temperatures of this lovely season (by the way, it was in the 60s in Boston for the past two days, but now we’re back down to 30 degrees. What a tease.). These spikes are just so cool. This sweater is relatively old, so they’re loose and falling off a little, which is sad. But you know I’m gonna wear it to absolute death.

I wore my black Timbs with my fuzzy leggings. I recently learned that I should be hand-washing these particular leggings, and I wonder if that’ll make them last longer. I’m experimenting with one of my pairs, so stay tuned!

My hair was in a bun when I took this photo because I was having a horrible hair day! The bun looked cuter in person, but in this picture, I look like a goth founding father. Life is like that sometimes. But I actually put a ton of effort into my makeup because a sweater this extra deserves makeup that’s just as extra. It’s go big or go home with this beauty. I don’t think I’ve ever not worn my Kat Von D lipstick with it!

Tell me about your favorite sweater in the comments!

Happy Hump Day! I hope so badly that you’re staying toasty in this arctic weather. I don’t know why I made the decision to move to a cold place instead of running away to Florida or California, but you know what they say, the grass is always greener. You guys are probably sick of hearing me complain about the weather by now.

One way I stay cozy in these sub-zero temperatures is by wearing this sweatshirt and never taking it off, ever. I got it for Christmas last year and I wear it literally all the time. I love it so much because it’s Halsey merch, but also because it’s so big and cozy, which keeps me nice and warm. I like to layer shirts underneath it too so I’m extra warm.

Another is by wearing my fuzzy leggings to death! I have a gazillion pairs because they’re seriously a ride or die item for me. They’re high-waisted too, which gives me another half layer on my torso. Every little barrier against the cold helps!

My Timbs are really great in the cold too since they have a ton of traction against the snow. They’re really weather-resistant, too. And they go with everything. Timberlands take up a chamber of my heart.

I style this sweatshirt and leggings in a lot of different ways, but this is definitely one of my favorites. My Kat Von D lipstick just looks awesome with this sweatshirt, so I love to wear them together a lot. What are some winter items you can’t live without? Let me know in the comments!

Hello, my loves! I’m so sorry I’ve been MIA lately. I got locked out of my website! But I’m back and it’s lit. I’m working on putting out an e-newsletter soon so I’ll actually be able to tell you things like that. Stay tuned! Also, please excuse that some of my photos recently have been crappy iPhone pictures, my camera has decided to betray me and I’m rather pissed. It’s going great over here guys.

Here’s one of my favorite looks of all time. You know how I always say when you look good you feel good? This is one of those outfits that makes me feel freakin’ awesome.

This is actually a shirt I got for my uncle a couple years ago, so I stole it back when he passed away and turned it into a dress! I think he’d be proud. It’s so comfortable and the perfect balance of glam and casual, especially when you style it the right way. I like to wear my black Timberlands, my thigh-high boots, or these heels with this dress.

Since I was going out when I wore this look, I wore some glam makeup with my favorite lipstick of all time (sidenote: I lost my lipstick at a different party and literally cried. I just got another one for my birthday and I feel complete again). I slicked my hair back into a high pony and was ready to take on whatever the night threw at me.

And it was actually a really fun night! My friend and I went to a party and didn’t know anyone, so we left and ran around our neighborhood for a little bit. I got Five Guys which makes me the happiest girl in the world.

What’s your favorite party look? Let me know in the comments!
